Italian Newspaper Ordered to Pay Compensation for Defaming Professor as 'Putinist'
Italy's Corriere della Sera newspaper was ordered to pay €27,500 in compensation to Professor Alessandro Orsini after a Milan court ruled it defamed him by falsely linking him to a non-existent 'Putin's Network in Italy' in a 2022 article, leading to Orsini losing his university position and broadcaster role.
