BMW has announced the iX3 Flow Edition at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, featuring E Ink Prism technology embedded directly into the hood panel. Unlike previous concepts that wrapped entire vehicles in custom-shaped panels, this approach embeds the technology into the vehicle structure, passing BMW's quality testing for automotive use. The color-changing capabilities are limited to the hood with eight grayscale animations controllable by the driver.
