The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) and Deauville, France, have signed a 3-year MOU to cooperate in horse riding, polo, equine medicine, and racehorse supply, building on existing racing event collaborations.
About 100 young basketball players in Hong Kong will receive elite training over the next two months through the East Asia Super League's Future Champions programme, run in collaboration with the Hong Kong Jockey Club. The initiative comes despite the government's decision last month to postpone legalised basketball betting, which was originally scheduled to launch this year after a bill passed last September. Similar programmes launched in Macau and Cebu City.
