American Rower Kelsey Pfendler Makes History Crossing Pacific Solo
Kelsey Pfendler, a Grand Canyon river-rafting guide, has become the first American woman and fastest person to row solo across the mid-Pacific from California to Hawaii. She completed the 2,400-mile journey in 43 days, 17 hours, 55 minutes, and 59 seconds, arriving in Honolulu on July 3rd.
