Google and Samsung are set to launch their first Android XR smart glasses this fall. Experts predict sales could exceed 2 million units in the first year, capturing nearly 20% market share, though Meta is expected to remain the market leader.
Google announced its first Android XR smart glasses at the I/O developer conference, featuring Gemini AI. The glasses, developed with Samsung and Qualcomm, will be available in the fall and will work with both Android and iOS devices, including iPhones. They will not have a display but will include a camera, speakers, and microphone for voice interactions with Gemini.
