Mayo Clinic developed AI model REDMOD that detects pancreatic cancer up to 3 years before clinical diagnosis by analyzing routine CT scans, achieving 88% specificity. The system identified cancer an average of 475 days early and was nearly 3 times more accurate than radiologists for cases detected over 2 years before diagnosis.
