
Ramiro Valdes, Cuban Revolution Commander and Intelligence Architect, Dies at 94
Ramiro Valdes, a key figure in Cuba's Communist revolution and founder of its intelligence services, has died at 94. President Miguel Diaz-Canel eulogized Valdes for his "exemplary dedication" and fidelity to the revolution's leaders. Valdes was one of the last surviving revolutionaries and played a role in the 1953 Moncada Barracks attack.
