Payward, parent company of Kraken, has completed its acquisition of crypto derivatives venue Bitnomial, gaining control of a fully CFTC-regulated derivatives stack including Futures Commission Merchant, Designated Contract Market and Derivatives Clearing Organization licenses. The first definitive agreement was announced April 17. Bitnomial is the first crypto-native US company to hold exchange, clearing and brokerage functions under the CFTC.
