Ultra Electronics Pays £15m Over Failed Bribery Prevention in Algeria and Oman Contracts
Ultra Electronics has agreed to pay £15m after admitting failing to prevent bribery related to three public sector contracts in Algeria and Oman. The SFO investigation, opened in 2018 after the company referred itself, centered on a £200m Omani deal and two Algerian contracts that were never secured. The deferred prosecution agreement includes a £10m penalty plus £4.8m in investigation costs, with three years of compliance reporting required.
