Jockey Club to Resign from Racecourse Association, Citing Governance Concerns
The Jockey Club, owner of 15 British racecourses including Aintree and Cheltenham, announced its resignation from the Racecourse Association (RCA) by year-end, following Ascot's earlier departure. Citing concerns over the RCA's governance and its ability to stifle industry changes, the move could split the organization and trigger a constitutional crisis for the British Horseracing Authority (BHA).
