'China's Superdad': Teacher Adopts Nearly 300 Parentless Children Over Three Decades

Bai Jian, a 52-year-old physical education teacher at Anshan No 2 Middle School in Liaoning province, northeastern China, has been dubbed "China's Superdad" for adopting nearly 300 parentless children over the past 30 years. Since 1995, at least 276 children have lived on his estate, called Dream Home, which he rents to accommodate 20 to 30 children at a time. The children include orphans and those discarded by their parents, some of whom have grown up to become professional athletes, PLA soldiers, public servants, or university teachers.
