Lidia Almeida, president of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo and a lifelong human rights activist, has died at 95. She spent over 50 years searching for her son, Alejandro, who was forcibly disappeared during Argentina's dictatorship. Almeida became an emblem of the fight for justice, continuing her activism until her final days.
