Meta's Threads platform is launching 'Live Chats,' a new feature enabling real-time conversations during cultural events like NBA Playoffs. Media personalities including Malika Andrews, Rachel Nichols, and Da Kid Gowie will host chats during games. The feature supports up to 150 active message senders, with additional users able to view, react, and participate in polls as spectators. Threads aims to compete with X by offering real-time engagement features even the Elon Musk-owned platform lacks.
