Genetic mutations linked to sudden cardiac arrest in young people

A study in JACC: Clinical Electrophysiology found genetic mutations are significantly more common in young people experiencing sudden cardiac arrest (10% in those under 29) than in older individuals (3% in those 70+). Researchers identified 15 genes linked to increased risk, suggesting genetic testing for those with family history could aid early prevention.
