A strong high-pressure system is bringing dry, warm, and sunny conditions to the UK early this week, with temperatures reaching the low 20s Celsius in parts of Wales and southern Britain. However, this settled weather is expected to break down mid-week as low-pressure systems move in from the Atlantic, bringing cloud, rain, and more unsettled conditions.
The "very slow-moving" high-pressure system causing the wet weather should "finally get a move on" early next week, the BOM says.
