The award, voted on by NHL general managers, recognizes the league's best goaltender. Last year, Connor Hellebuyck of Winnipeg Jets won the trophy.
Ilya Sorokin of the New York Islanders, Jeremy Swayman of the Boston Bruins, and Andrei Vasilevskiy of the Tampa Bay Lightning have been named the three finalists for the Vezina Trophy, awarded to the NHL's top goaltender. Sorokin posted 29 wins with an NHL-best seven shutouts, Swayman recorded his first 30-win season with 31 victories, and Vasilevskiy led the league with 39 wins.
