House Strips Pesticide Liability Shield from Farm Bill After MAHA Uprising

The House of Representatives passed an amendment stripping controversial pesticide liability protections from the farm bill, 280-142, after bipartisan opposition from lawmakers and Make America Healthy Again advocates. The provisions would have shielded Bayer from lawsuits over its Roundup herbicide and glyphosate, which the WHO classified as probably carcinogenic in 2015. The broader farm bill passed 224-200 and now heads to the Senate.
