Dmitriy Popov, convicted of manslaughter as a hate crime in the 2023 stabbing death of vogue dancer O'Shae Sibley, faces 8-25 years in prison. Popov, 17 at the time, claimed self-defense, but prosecutors argued anti-LGBTQ+ motive. He was acquitted of murder but found guilty of other charges.
