Inquest into Freebirth Death Delayed by New Mobile Phone Evidence
An inquest into the death of Stacey Warnecke, who died after a home "freebirth", has been delayed due to new evidence from a forensic analysis of her mobile phone. Warnecke, a 30-year-old nutritionist, died from a postpartum haemorrhage. The birthkeeper, Emily Lal, testified that her role was supportive, not clinical, and she was not responsible for calling an ambulance unless asked.
