Five-time NBA All-Star John Wall has been appointed president of basketball operations at Howard University, returning to Washington D.C. where he spent most of his NBA career with the Wizards. Wall, who retired in August after playing for the Wizards, Rockets and Clippers, expressed interest in the role during a visit on January 31. He will work alongside coach Kenny Blakeney and GM Daniel Marks, bringing a hands-on approach to team meetings, recruit evaluations and strategic planning. Howard is one of only five mid-major programs to make the NCAA tournament in three of the past four seasons, winning their first tournament game in school history this year.
