18th-century shipwreck yields remarkably preserved cargo
An 18th-century shipwreck discovered off the coast of Norway contains remarkably preserved cargo, including Chinese porcelain, chandeliers, glass, textiles, and provisions like tea and herbs. The find, described as a "time capsule," is considered the best-preserved of its kind found in Northern Europe. Initial findings will be presented at the Norwegian Maritime Museum in Oslo in June.
