A severe thunderstorm swept through Uttar Pradesh, India, killing 117 people, injuring 79, and causing extensive damage to property and livestock, with wind gusts reaching up to 130 kmph in several districts.

Uprooted trees caused internet outages and traffic snarls, with over 170 trees falling across the city. One woman was injured by a falling tree.
Bengaluru was battered by severe thunderstorms with hailstorms and 50kmph winds on Wednesday, causing widespread flooding in the Central Business District and multiple fatalities. Seven people, including a 7-year-old girl, died after a wall at Bowring Hospital collapsed. Two others died from electrocution and a roof collapse. The city recorded 78mm of rainfall in central zones, with stormwater drains overflowing and power infrastructure severely damaged. Bescom received 25,000 distress calls as large parts of the city went dark.
