「我覺得，對鄭朝方而言這真的是滿殘酷的！」王世堅表示，到現在遲遲沒有宣布，鄭朝方大概背後都受到這些威脅，如果是因為其他因素讓鄭不選，而那些因素與其根本無關，真的是滿無辜的。
媒體追問，政治人物是否應該乾脆一點？王世堅回應，「對啦，是應該乾脆，可是當你受到威脅的時候，怎麼說？對不對？這個我就不方便講啦，因為我人在台北嘛，我是間接聽到。」
