Walmart's Onn brand has released six new budget-friendly Android tablets, with most costing under $200. The line includes models ranging from a 7-inch tablet at $97 to a 13.2-inch 'Pro' model at $288, all shipping with Android 16.
Google is expanding its new gradient-based app icon design language beyond the already-updated G logo, Gemini, Photos and Maps to other apps including Sheets, Slides, Forms, Sites and Keep. The new icons feature rounder corners, softer pastel-to-saturated color transitions, and more playful, varied designs reflecting a shift away from flat design trends of the late 2010s and early 2020s. The redesign represents the presence of AI-powered features according to 9to5Google. While most icons are seen as improvements, the Keep icon has drawn criticism.
Google's AI meeting notetaker Gemini now supports Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and in-person meetings, expanding beyond its original Google Meet limitation. Previously limited to alpha users on Android, the feature allows users to start recording from the Google Meet homescreen by selecting 'take notes for me.' Gemini generates summaries and action items in a Google Doc saved to the user's Drive.
