South China Sea Ruling's 10th Anniversary: A Decade of Contention, Not Resolution

A decade after the Permanent Court of Arbitration's ruling on the South China Sea, the dispute remains unresolved. Despite Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jnr's assertion of peaceful dispute resolution, the ruling has become a point of contention, with maritime incidents and military deployments continuing. China's economic pragmatism has solidified its position as ASEAN's largest trading partner.

Kaante dispute: Pritish Nandy Communications gets Rs 2.55 crore settlement from Bombay HC

The Bombay High Court has officially disposed of the commercial appeal regarding the 2002 film 'Kaante', following a settlement between Pritish Nandy Communications and White Feather Films. As per the consent terms approved on April 21, 2026, Sanjay Gupta’s production house will pay a lump sum of Rs. 2.55 crore to PNC within 60 days. This settlement resolves a 2016 arbitration dispute that originally involved a claim of Rs. 3.52 crore. Failure to pay within the stipulated window will result in the resumption of original litigation proceedings.

China’s fight to keep Darwin Port could help fragile Sino-Australian relations: analysts

Chinese multinational company Landbridge Group’s legal claim regarding Darwin Port – the first case ever brought against Australia at the international tribunal – is likely to yield a multi-year proceeding, which could serve as a buffer to provide some positive impacts for the Australia-China relationship, analysts said. The owner of Landbridge, Ye Cheng, filed a case with the World Bank’s International Centre for Settlement of Investor Disputes (ICSID) requesting “arbitration proceedings” over...

Mykhailo Mudryk appeals four-year doping ban to Court of Arbitration for Sport

Chelsea forward Mykhailo Mudryk has appealed his reported four-year doping ban to the Court of Arbitration for Sport after the FA found traces of meldonium in his system. The 25-year-old has not played since failing a drugs test in November 2024 while on international duty with Ukraine. If successful, he could return to football next year rather than waiting until December 2028.

Mykhailo Mudryk appeals four-year drugs ban to Court of Arbitration for Sport

Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has appealed his four-year drugs ban to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. The 25-year-old Ukrainian international was banned by the Football Association after an adverse finding in a routine urine test revealed traces of meldonium, a cardiovascular medication. The appeal was filed on 25 February 2026, with sources close to the player hopeful he could return as early as next season. Mudryk came into contact with meldonium while on duty with Ukraine in October 2024 and has not played since November 2024.
