Welzow Mayor: "We feel nothing of structural change"
In Welzow, a town of 3,100 residents, Mayor Hilmar Mißbach states that the promised structural change and associated funding are not being felt. While Cottbus receives billions for projects like a medical university and an ICE repair shop, Welzow struggles with empty industrial areas and a lack of investors. Young people also report feeling poorly informed about the changes.
