Israel Approves Tens-of-Billions Dollar Fighter Jet Deal with Lockheed Martin and Boeing
Israel's defense ministry has approved the purchase of F-35 and F-15IA fighter jets from Lockheed Martin and Boeing in a deal worth tens of billions as part of a 350 billion shekel ($119 billion) defense modernization plan. The approval establishes a fourth F-35 squadron and second F-15IA squadron, doubling the F-35 program from 50 to 100 aircraft and increasing the F-15IA fleet from 25 to 50.
