Delhi High Court Postpones ED's National Herald Case Appeal to May 25
The Delhi High Court has postponed the Enforcement Directorate's appeal in the National Herald case to May 25, after indicating it could not conduct detailed arguments during Monday's hearing. The ED is challenging a Rouse Avenue Court order that declined to take cognizance of their prosecution complaint under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. The ED argues proceedings under PMLA can continue even without an FIR where cognisance has already been taken of a private complaint. Senior Advocates Kapil Sibal and Abhishek Manu Singhvi appeared for respondents including Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
