SEOUL, May 15 (Yonhap) -- A special counsel team on Friday sought a 7 1/2-year prison term for former first lady Kim Keon Hee during her trial on charges of taking luxury gifts in return for promises of government appointments and other favors.

Special counsel Min Joong-ki's team made the sentencing recommendation for Kim, the wife of former President Yoon Suk Yeol, at the trial's final hearing at the Seoul Central District Court.
