Around two months ago, she married a man from Futhwa in Chauri Chaura. Her family alleged that soon after the marriage, she was subjected to harassment by her husband, mother-in-law and sister-in-law, forcing her to return to her parental home in Jhagaha. The family members alleged that she had a heated exchange with her husband over a phone call. Around 1.30 am, her daughter found her body hanging and alerted relatives. On being alerted, police reached the spot and sent the body for a postmortem. Jhagaha SHO Anoop Singh said police are investigating allegations of harassment and abetment to suicide.
