A 23-year-old physically handicapped Dalit groom was pulled off his horse and beaten during a pre-wedding procession in Bijori Pathak village, Damoh district. Four accused villagers blocked the path with a motorcycle, assaulted the groom and his family members including his sister Manisha. Police have arrested all four accused and will invoke the National Security Act — a first for such cases in the district. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
