Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is visiting Taiwan and South Korea amidst a global AI boom. His visits involve meetings with key industry figures and discussions about the future of AI technology.

Taille de police

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, at the center of the AI boom, has drawn attention to the cooperative relationships between Nvidia and various companies. In response to a question comparing Taiwan and South Korea, Huang stated, "Both are special."

According to Taiwan's Central News Agency and other outlets on the 2nd (local time), Huang made these remarks to reporters after a dinner with key South Korean corporate officials in Taipei, Taiwan, where Nvidia's annual AI conference 'GTC Taipei' was held the previous day.

Regarding the semiconductor industry, he said, "There is no need to choose (between them), and comparing them is not important." He added, "Taiwan is very special. South Korea is also very special. It is possible for both to be very special at the same time."

Huang arrived in Taiwan on March 23rd and has been actively meeting with figures in Taiwan's semiconductor industry, including having dinner with TSMC Chairman Wei Zhejia. He is also attending Computex, Asia's largest IT expo, held from the 2nd to the 5th of this month.

Following this, he is scheduled to visit South Korea around the 5th, with plans including a meeting with the heads of major South Korean groups and a discussion session. Notably, he is known to have a 'samgyeopsal meeting' in Seoul with figures such as SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won, Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, and Naver Chairman Lee Hae-jin.

He stated that his most important objective for this visit to South Korea is to directly express his gratitude and congratulations to his Korean partners. He also mentioned his fondness for Korean food, expressing anticipation for visiting restaurants for chicken, samgyetang, and samgyeopsal.

Furthermore, referring to South Korea as the birthplace of esports and PC bangs, he said, "Since the early days of Nvidia's 'GeForce' graphics cards, South Korea has always been very close to my heart."

Meanwhile, in his keynote speech at GTC Taipei the previous day, Huang emphasized the arrival of the 'Agentic AI' era, which goes beyond simple chatbot functions to enable task execution.

He identified the birth of 'AI agents' as the core reason for the transformation in computational models, stating, "Everything has changed in the past six months. With the implementation of agents, AI can now do truly useful work."

He also predicted that in the future, all computing facilities will follow the same Agentic AI computing architecture. "This architecture will be integrated not only into data centers but also into personal computers (PCs), cars, humanoids, factory equipment, base stations, satellites, and more," he predicted.

He added that Nvidia has focused on building AI factories for the past two years, and the next step is to enable Agentic AI to move from the cloud to end devices. "In the future world, AI agents will exist everywhere," he envisioned.

He remarked, "AI has become a profit-generating machine and a GDP-generating machine," and explained, "Tokens, the foundation of computing power, can already be converted into revenue and profit."
