
Professor criticizes lawmaker's proposal to enlarge 'Republic of China' on passport
A US-based professor, Weng Ta-jui (Chen Shih-fen), criticized KMT legislator Hsu Chiao-hsin's proposal to enlarge "Republic of China" on Taiwan's passport. Weng argued this would lead to discrimination against Taiwanese citizens at foreign customs, as the smaller font previously helped distinguish them from Chinese citizens, improving travel.
