Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov emphasized that the arrival of American negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner in Russia requires careful preparation and coordination.

He noted that the Kremlin will announce the trip of US representatives when it “emerges,” but at the moment there are no concrete plans.

MOSCOW, August 18 - RIA Novosti. The arrival of American negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner in Russia requires elaboration; this is not the arrival of relatives from Kaluga to Moscow, we are talking about a serious international meeting, said Russian Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov.

“There are so many questions about this trip (the arrival of Witkoff and Kushner in Moscow - ed.), as if we are talking about the arrival of relatives from somewhere from Kaluga to Moscow, you know. This is a serious international meeting, it requires preparation and coordination,” Ushakov told Vesti author Pavel Zarubin.

An aide to the Russian leader noted that the Kremlin will announce the trip of US representatives when it “emerges.”
