A number of new laws come into force in Russia on September 1

From September 1, laws will come into force in Russia regarding the protection of the labor rights of SVO participants, mortgage holidays for families with children, vapes and cigarettes will no longer be sold at bus stops, said member of the Budget Committee of the Federation Council Evgenia Uvarkina.

“Employment without barriers. Mothers with children under three years old can now safely go to work - the probationary period for them has been canceled. And there is no “let’s see and think” from the employer. And we have protected the participants of the SVO from layoffs: if we have to cut staff, they will be a priority,” the politician wrote in her Telegram channel.

According to the parliamentarian, the next law concerns family support. “If a second child is born, you can breathe out and not think about the mortgage for 18 months - the bank is obliged to give a vacation. And student families will finally receive priority rights to separate rooms in the dorm,” she explained.

Another law adopted by parliament introduces the concept of mobile pharmacies, Uvarkina wrote. “Even in the most remote village, where there is no pharmacy, a pharmacy on wheels will appear,” Uvarkina noted.

People with disabilities will be able to travel safely - tourist sites are obliged to do everything for unhindered access, such a norm is spelled out in legislation, the senator wrote.

A law also comes into force according to which vapes and cigarettes will no longer be sold at bus stops - “so that children do not breathe smoke and are not tempted,” the politician emphasized.

In addition, “anyone who feels that gambling is beginning to control their life will be able to self-prohibit government services or through the MFC,” the senator recalled.
