Jang Dong-hyuk, the leader of the People Power Party, said in a Facebook post that day, "I was puzzled ever since President Lee suddenly nominated Yong Hye-in as a ministerial candidate," and then mentioned Director Seo's remarks and said, "Yong Hye-in is not just someone who came out."

He then claimed, “This is the build-up to a ‘leftist cartel’ by Deputy Director Kim Hyun-ji,” and added, “Didn’t the Blue House know about the refusal to resign as proportional representative? Deputy Director Kim must have known. Since it was about taking care of the ‘organization,’ they probably tried to turn a blind eye to it.”

Senior Spokesperson Park Seong-hoon criticized not only Candidate Yong and Minister of Justice Kim Seung-won, who is embroiled in suspicions of improper solicitation, but also the appointment of the second cabinet reshuffle itself, calling it "the worst in history."

Chief Spokesperson Park said in a commentary, "It's not just a personnel failure, it's a personnel disaster and a personnel malpractice. It's a signal showing that President Lee's lame duck has already begun," and added, "Withdraw the nomination of an unqualified candidate immediately and apologize to the people."

Five-term lawmaker Yoon Sang-hyun also wrote on Facebook, "Why on earth does the name Kim Hyun-ji, not from the official personnel line, appear repeatedly in personnel-related controversies?" and "If there is private intervention outside the official personnel line, cut it off immediately. In response to this, Democratic Party spokesperson Lee Yong-woo said to Representative Jang in a written briefing, "The party clarified that the YouTube remark was a joke, and the broadcaster also corrected the facts by saying that the Senior Secretary for Personnel is in charge of personnel affairs in the President's Office." He added, "Conspiracy theory politics must stop immediately."

He pointed out, "The method of turning a denied joke into a 'confession' and completing a huge conspiracy by adding color theories such as 'secret power', 'Gyeonggi Eastern Union', and 'leftist cartel' is similar to the delusion of election fraud."

He continued, "CEO Jang called for a rigged re-election at the Olympic Park rally," and pointed out, "Conspiracy theories that interpret the lack of ballot papers or election management problems as systematic election fraud only undermine public trust in elections and increase unnecessary social conflict."

At the same time, he criticized, “Conspiracy theories based on delusions about Candidate Yong cannot replace verification,” and “The level of awareness of the representative of the main opposition party is miserable.”
