Yıldız, an 11th grade student at Aksaray Martyr Pilot Hamza Gümüşsoy Science High School, attracted the attention of physically disabled national para shooter Hakan Çevik at the range where he went to watch his father, air pistol athlete Hamdullah Yıldız, when he was a child. Yıldız, who was introduced to air rifles under the guidance of Çevik, made great progress in a short time and became a licensed athlete at the age of 10. The young shooter, who won first place in Türkiye in the first championship he participated in, has achieved many successes in his career.

Abdullah Eren Yıldız, who continues his studies at the Aksaray Paralympic Games Preparation Center with the support of his father, coach Hamdullah Yıldız, told the AA reporter that shooting seemed easy to him when he first started, but when he saw the competition in the competitions, he realized how difficult the branch was. Explaining that he participated in his first competition at the age of 10, Yıldız said: "I have over 25 medals and 6 Turkish records. I was selected for the national team for the first time in February. I won the gold medal at the Air Weapons European Championship held in Bulgaria in February. Being selected for the national team was a stressful period for me. I was very excited during both the camp period and the competitions. We trained twice every day during the camp period. I made very good friends in the national team. 1-12 in Poland. We came third as a team at the All Branches U23 European Shooting Championship held in August. It made me very proud to wave the Turkish flag at the top in Bulgaria, it was one of the best moments of my life. Now, I am training for the European Championship in 2027. My main goal, like every athlete, is to qualify for the 2028 Olympics to be held in Los Angeles, USA and win the gold medal there.

Hamdullah Yıldız, the young athlete's father and Turkish Shooting Federation Provincial Representative, stated that he loves shooting very much. Stating that his son Abdullah was watching him while he was practicing shooting at the range, Yıldız said: "We got my son's license in 2020. In the same year, he became the Turkish champion in the first competition he participated in and then achieved successive rankings. From time to time, we experience role confusion with my son, but we overcome it. We train four days a week, it is very important to manage this process correctly. Our goal is always higher. Our only goal is to wave our Turkish flag at the top. My son has always made us proud, I hope he will continue to make us proud from now on." will continue."
