Xi Jinping calls for reform of the international financial architecture

Chinese President Xi Jinping, at a meeting in the BRICS+ format, called on the countries of the Global South to reform and improve the international financial architecture.

Xi Jinping also called on countries in the Global South to steer reform of the World Trade Organization in the right direction.

BEIJING, September 13 - RIA Novosti. Chinese President Xi Jinping, at a meeting in the BRICS+ format, called on the countries of the Global South to reform and improve the international financial architecture.

The BRICS summit takes place on September 12–13 in New Delhi. The Outreach BRICS+ format meeting, which has already become traditional for BRICS summits, is being held in the capital of India on Sunday.

“Countries in the Global South need... to reform and improve the international financial architecture,” he said, as quoted by Xinhua.

He also called on countries in the Global South to steer reform of the World Trade Organization in the right direction.
