The Russian Ambassador accused NATO of provoking escalation on the world stage

The NATO bloc, through reckless actions, is deliberately provoking escalation on the world stage. Russian Ambassador to Brussels Denis Gonchar spoke about this in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to the diplomat, such narratives continue to spread despite Moscow’s repeated assurances that there are no such intentions. The ambassador recalled that NATO recently announced the bloc’s air exercises near Kaliningrad. Russia notes unprecedented NATO activity on its western borders, which it explains as “containing Russian aggression.”

The diplomat recalled that Moscow has repeatedly expressed concern about the buildup of alliance forces in Europe and stated that it is ready for an open dialogue with the alliance on an equal basis, demanding that the West abandon the militarization of the continent.
