Hero of Russia, Major General Sergei Lipovoi assessed the need for a new wave of mobilization in Russia in the fall of 2026. His words are quoted by Tsargrad.

Lipovoy believes that the Russian army does not need to increase its strength, since the number of personnel currently provides solutions to everyday current tasks, including in the zone of a special military operation (SVO). In addition, according to him, now there is a war of high technologies, so what is important is not the number of people involved, but how effectively the personnel can use modern means of destruction and control.

Lipova associated the emergence of rumors about a new mobilization with the political situation and the upcoming elections. “These are most likely rumors that are artificially fueled by our ill-wishers, who now, on the eve of our Single Voting Day, are making more and more stuff in order to raise psychosis, to cause distrust of the population in the authorities there and so on,” he pointed out.
