Tainan drug driver resists arrest and rams into police car, suppressed and arrested

A drug driver resisted arrest and rammed his motorcycle into a police motorcycle! Two officers from the First Branch of the Nan City Police Department were patrolling on motorcycles late yesterday night when they discovered a man riding a motorcycle unsteadily on Section 2 of Dongmen Road and in danger of colliding with a vehicle behind him. When the two policemen stepped forward to stop and investigate, the man's motorcycle collided with the police station director's motorcycle. The director and another police officer immediately suppressed the man and fell to the ground. Two small bags of amphetamines were found. The man also tested positive for narcotics, and he was charged with drugs, public danger, and obstruction of official duties.

At about 11 o'clock in the evening on the 16th, Lin Haiping, director of the Dongmen Police Station of the Nanshi Police Branch No. 1, and police officer Wu Ruowang were patrolling on their motorcycles passing through Alley 351, Section 2, Dongmen Road. They discovered that a man surnamed Zhan (38 years old) who was selling drugs was driving unsteadily on his motorcycle and was in danger of colliding with a car coming from behind. They stepped forward to stop and investigate.

When Zhan Nan saw the police stopping him, he immediately turned his motorcycle around to escape. Zhan Nan also rode his motorcycle and rammed Lin Haiping's police motorcycle. Both motorcycles fell to the ground. Lin and Wu worked together to suppress Zhan Nan to the ground. The arrest and suppression process was recorded on video by passers-by, who exclaimed that they saw the police suppressing the gangster.

A pair of male and female passers-by who were recorded talking to each other said, "How cool! How could you witness such a thing? The police stopped the car with his own police car. Is he trying to catch drunk driving or drug driving? This is more exciting than what he used to do to catch illegal immigrants. Being a police officer is really hard!"

Due to Zhan Nan's collision and violent arrest and suppression, Lin Haiping suffered a bruise on his right knee and Wu Ruowang had a bruise on his left arm. Fortunately, they were not seriously injured; Zhan Nan had no obvious injuries.

The police conducted a rapid saliva drug screen on Zhan Nan, and the preliminary screen showed a positive result for the drug methamphetamine.

After interrogation of the entire case, Zhan Nan was transferred to the Tainan District Prosecutor's Office for investigation on suspicion of violating drug hazard prevention regulations, public danger (drug driving), and obstructing official duties.
