On the morning of the 6th, the reporter walked with the rescuers for nearly half an hour to reach the core disaster area of ​​the debris flow disaster.

Roads leading to the core of the disaster area were severely damaged, requiring rescuers to navigate waterways, silt areas and rugged mountain trails to reach them. Traces of mudslides can be seen along the way. The muddy water carries boulders and broken trees and flows through the valleys. Large areas of the riverbed are covered with silt. The reporter's on-site measurement showed that the deepest silt in the core area of ​​​​the disaster was deeper than the calf. After stepping in, it is easy to sink deeply and difficult to pull out, making walking difficult.

Drone aerial footage shows that the mountain has formed a large area of ​​yellow-brown slip zone, with ravines and soil collapse in the area. Many slopes have collapsed, and some walls of houses have been damaged.

On the morning of the 6th, China Aneng's professional rescue force operated large-scale construction machinery to clear and dredge damaged road sections and debris flow siltation areas in the core area. Individual soldier video transmission equipment was set up on site to transmit frontline rescue footage in real time, providing strong support for scientific dispatch and disposal.

According to on-site rescue personnel, at present, the rescue work at the disaster site is still being carried out intensively. Road widening, landslide cleanup and search and rescue of personnel in the core area are carried out simultaneously. Dynamic monitoring of slopes along the line is continuous to prevent secondary landslides from threatening the working surface.

Wan Qiang, the on-site commander of China Aneng Second Engineering Bureau, said that at 7:00 on the 6th, 3 excavators and 2 loaders were deployed to carry out operations 1.2 kilometers away from the core area, and more than 30 heavy machinery were assembled on site to be on standby for reinforcements. As of 14:00 on the 6th, the rescue operation section has advanced 100 meters.

A dangerous situation occurred during the rescue operation. Only a few minutes after the reporter arrived at the core area, monitoring personnel discovered abnormal conditions on the mountain, and an evacuation order was issued for all personnel on site to strictly prevent the risk of secondary disasters.

The resettlement work for the disaster-stricken people was progressed simultaneously and steadily. Liang Kuan, deputy mayor of Gaoping Town, Suichuan County, said that currently, nearly 200 people affected by the disaster in Mingkeng Village have all been transferred to B&Bs for centralized accommodation. The resettlement site has complete facilities, catering and daily supplies are in place, and professional medical teams are stationed at the site to ensure the health of the people. At the same time, village cadres were stationed throughout the entire process to calm the emotions of the masses, carry out targeted psychological counseling, and comprehensively ensure the basic life and physical and mental stability of the disaster-stricken people.

The latest report from the Suichuan County Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters shows that on the morning of September 6, a search at the disaster site in Mingkeng Village found two missing people with no vital signs. The specific identity information is being further verified. So far, the mudslide disaster in Mingkeng Village, Gaoping Town, Suichuan County has killed three people and left nine others missing. On-site search and rescue operations are still ongoing.
