A nurse surnamed Chen (38 years old) in Taichung was crossing the road on Liuchuan East Road in the Western District at around 1 o'clock this morning when she was hit by a man surnamed Lin (30 years old) driving a Mercedes-Benz. Not only did Lin not stop and seek medical attention after the accident, he also turned around at the intersection of Minzu and drove back to the original place and was crushed again, causing Chen's head to be fractured and died tragically on the spot. After an investigation by the Taichung District Prosecutor's Office, they found that Lin's murder was considered serious and that he was at risk of fleeing, destroying evidence, or colluding with witnesses, and applied to the court for a detention ban.

This horrific car accident occurred at around 1:10 a.m. this morning. At that time, a man surnamed Lin (30 years old) drove a passenger car from Liuchuan West Road toward Minsheng Road. He turned left at the intersection of Minquan Road, then turned left on Yanuchuan East Road toward Minzu Road.

At that time, the nurse surnamed Chen was passing by Liuchuan East Road and was about to cross the road on foot when she was hit by Lin's car. Chen was stuck on the hood of the car and fell to the ground. Lin did not stop to help send her to the hospital. He drove to the Minzu intersection ahead and turned around. Then he turned around and drove in the original direction, running over Chen again and driving away from the scene.

After receiving the report, the police arrived at the scene and found that Ms. Chen died tragically on the spot with multiple severe fractures all over her body and a severe head injury. They immediately checked the surveillance camera to find out the car registration number of Mr. Lin who was involved in the accident, and called him. Mr. Lin, who knew he would not be able to escape justice, drove the Mercedes-Benz car that caused the accident to the police station at about 3:30 a.m. and surrendered to the police more than two hours after the accident.

The Taichung District Prosecutor's Office stated that after receiving the report this morning, it immediately assigned Prosecutor Hong Yuting to direct the First Branch to conduct on-site evidence collection and evidence preservation. At 2 o'clock this afternoon, they went to the funeral home to conduct a physical examination and prepare family records. The Taichung Branch of the Criminal Victims Protection Association also launched a care mechanism.
