Iceland's Foreign Minister summoned the US Ambassador over Trump's publication

Iceland's Foreign Minister Thorgerdur Katrín Gunnarsdóttir called out US Ambassador Billy Long over US leader Donald Trump's post on Truth Social. This was reported by the television and radio company RUV.

The reason was a picture in which Iceland and a number of other countries were painted with the American flag. In response to RUV’s request, the Icelandic Foreign Ministry emphasized that at the meeting the department called Trump’s post “completely inappropriate.”

Earlier, President of the United States Donald Trump published a map on which dozens of states were painted in the colors of the American flag: Cuba, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Such a map can be seen on the politician’s page on the TruthSocial social network.

In the image, Trump “annexed” Cuba, Canada, Mexico, Greenland, Iceland, as well as the states of Central America and a number of Caribbean countries to the States. However, the politician did not sign the publication.
