The English club Tottenham has entered into negotiations with Manchester City to sign the Brazilian Savinho and the Egyptian Omar Marmoush, in a double deal to strengthen its attacking line.
According to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) on Thursday, negotiations between the two clubs are progressing well, although no final agreement has been reached yet.
Tottenham's interest in Savinho dates back to 2025, when the Brazilian winger decided to stay with Manchester City, but he started only 7 matches in the English Premier League last season, and became open to leaving the team, after he joined in 2024 from Troyes, France, for 30 million pounds sterling.
As for Marmoush, who joined Manchester City from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2025 for 59 million pounds sterling, his role decreased under the leadership of Spanish coach Pep Guardiola during the 2025-2026 season, but he scored 8 goals in the 36 matches he played in all competitions.
It is not clear what value Manchester City set for releasing the two players, but the club expects to make significant profits from selling each of them.
Tottenham, under the leadership of Italian coach Roberto De Cerpi, is working to strengthen its attacking ranks after finishing last season in seventeenth place in the English Premier League, scoring only 48 goals in 38 matches.
Tottenham strengthened its midfield this summer by signing Matthews Fernandes from West Ham United and Sandro Tonali from Newcastle for 185 million pounds, but De Cerpi stressed the need to strengthen the attacking line as well.

Musiala confirmed that he is receiving “the best medical care” and that he remains “very optimistic,” adding: “Bayern, my family and my friends are still by my side and supporting me during this ordeal.” “The important thing is that there is no additional risk to my health.”

German club Borussia Mönchengladbach announced today, Thursday, the return of Japanese defender Ko Itakura, coming from the Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam, with a contract extending until 2030.
Itakura, 29 years old, returns to Gladbach after one season he spent in the Netherlands, to succeed Swiss defender Nico Elvedi, who moved to English Leeds United after 11 years spent with the German team.
