Novak: The volume of fuel below Euro-5 on the Russian market will be less than 10%

Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak promised that the volume of fuel standard below Euro-5 on the Russian fuel market will be small - less than 10 percent, TASS quotes him as saying.

He also said that large oil companies do not plan to produce fuel of the Euro-2, Euro-3 and Euro-4 classes. Novak added that the government intends to balance the fuel market with imports; its volume will fluctuate depending on the deficit.

Earlier, Novak said that Russia had already begun importing fuel to the domestic market. The necessary regulatory and legal acts were also adopted to allow the production of additional fuel of a lower class.
