10일(현지시간) AP·로이터통신 등에 따르면 전날 오후 6시 45분께 팔라완주 코론 인근 해상에서 운항 중이던 여객선 'MV 준 애스터호'에서 불이 났습니다.

필리핀 해안경비대는 지금까지 43명이 구조됐으며 5명이 숨지고 86명이 실종됐다고 밝혔습니다. 앞서 42명으로 발표됐던 구조자 수가 1명 늘면서 실종자는 87명에서 86명으로 줄었습니다.

승선자 명단에는 승객 117명과 승무원 17명 등 총 134명이 타고 있던 것으로 기록됐습니다.
