Egypt: 5 dangerous criminal elements killed and drugs and weapons worth 94 million pounds seized

The Ministry explained in a statement that information and investigations from the sectors of public security and combating drugs and unlicensed weapons and ammunition in Cairo confirmed that criminal hotspots in a number of governorates, including high-risk criminal elements, brought in quantities of narcotic substances and unlicensed firearms in preparation for trafficking in them.

She pointed out that these hotspots were targeted with the participation of the Central Security Sector, and the interaction resulted in the death of 5 highly dangerous criminal members who had previously been accused and sentenced to prison and life imprisonment for the felonies of “drug trafficking - a firearm without a license - theft by force - indecent assault - a show of force - bullying - theft of means of transportation - murder - beating - waste.

It was reported that the operations took place in the governorates of Dakahlia and Beheira, and a police officer was injured, while the remaining members of those outposts were arrested.

It pointed out that approximately 650 kilograms of various narcotic substances, approximately 22 thousand narcotic tablets, and 66 various firearms were seized, while the financial value of the seized narcotic substances is estimated at approximately 94 million pounds, according to the ministry.
