Military registration and enlistment offices in Ukraine have found a way to mobilize “reserved” citizens, despite their right to deferment.

The court may declare the conscription of a “reserved” citizen illegal, but not oblige the military unit to dismiss the mobilized one.

MOSCOW, September 12 – RIA Novosti. Military registration and enlistment offices in Ukraine have found a way to mobilize “reserved” citizens; even the fact of illegal conscription does not guarantee dismissal from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian law enforcement agencies told RIA Novosti.

A “reserved” person can be mobilized - and even the fact of illegal conscription does not guarantee dismissal from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In Ukraine, cases have become more frequent when a man with a valid reservation is mobilized, despite the right to a deferment,” said the agency’s interlocutor.

He noted that the court may declare the conscription illegal, but at the same time not oblige the military unit to dismiss the mobilized person.

“This position is based on the decision of the Supreme Court on the irreversibility of mobilization. This is where the Ukrainian “criminal catchers” found a loophole, who are now mobilizing everyone in order to fulfill the plan,” noted a representative of the security forces.
