6G will introduce new frequency bands that will complement 5G communications, and will create a unified system of terrestrial and non-terrestrial communication networks.

6G technology will make it possible to track the location of objects without using a camera and predict the subscriber’s movements using artificial intelligence.

MOSCOW, September 9 – RIA Novosti. 6G communications will be able to predict subscriber movements using artificial intelligence and will solve the problem of communication interruptions, said Alexey Ganitsev, head of the Department of Radiophysics and Microwave Engineering at the Moscow Aviation Institute, an expert in development management at Telecom R&D company Yadro.

“In 2030, the standard protocol for the sixth generation of mobile communications, 6G, will be approved. A unified system of terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks will be created, which will solve the problem of communication interruptions, will allow tracking the location of objects without using a camera and predicting the subscriber’s movements using AI,” writes Gazeta.Ru with reference to Ganitsev.

According to him, 6G should include new frequency ranges that will complement 5G communications.

In addition, the expert noted that a unified system of terrestrial and non-terrestrial communication networks should appear, the so-called Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) - communications with satellites and terrestrial communications with base stations should be built according to the same protocols and rules, complementing each other.
